What you will do
As a Cloud Architect at Moonshiner you will be responsible for the development of complex cloud architectures. You will consult our clients to understand their needs, break down requirements, plan and develop cloud applications.
We are working mostly with Microsoft Azure. Our cloud services range from hosting serverless decoupled web applications, to integrating data from third-party systems into the cloud architecture, to processing IoT data via Azure Functions. Security and data protection are essential features of all our applications.
To ensure a reliable & smooth development process, we usually work in agile SCRUM teams.
We love working with and finding the best architecture, infrastructure & approach for our customers & projects. This also means applying best practices such as Infrastructure as Code.

- You are into thinking about ideal architecture and infrastructure to deliver high-end applications in the cloud
- Your communication skills enable you to find out what our customers really need and how we can support them in the best way
- You are responsible for building up the cloud setup of one of our key applications
- You are eager to share your knowledge with Junior Cloud Engineers & enable them to improve their skills
- You are passionate about developing cloud architectures which are reliable, scalable & maintainable
- You know which economic implications architectural decisions have and always find a trade-off between costs and performance
- Your problem-solving skills are unbeatable. You are happy tackling new challenges and solving them in straight-forward ways
- You have a curious mind and you don’t shy away from asking questions and expressing concerns
- You are eager to learn every day and share your findings and opinion with your team
The Skills you have
- At least 2 years of experience with cloud architecture/development in Azure
- Consulting & requirements engineering expertise
- Knowledge of the Azure ecosystem
- Docker & Kubernetes experience
- App service & serverless (Azure Functions) experience
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep or Terraform
- Experience with networking and different databases (MySQL, NoSQL, Redis)
- Background knowledge in security & data privacy
- Knowhow in deploying, operating and monitoring API-first backend & headless frontend applications
- Experience with IoT data processing and Data Lake Storage is a plus
- Excellent command of English & the ability to explain highly complex architectures to your team & our customers
- Ideally Azure certifications
- Experience with Azure Active Directory B2C
